In 2012 I graduated valedictorian from Cortiva Institute of Massage Therapy. Areas of study included Anatomy, Kinesiology, Pathologies, Myofascial Release, Sports & Stretching, Clinical Approaches, and many other Massage Technique Classes. Upon graduating, I became a member of the American Massage Therapy Assocation and now volunteer in the Illinois Capter's Communications Committee.
Massage as a career appealed to me because of its blend of science and creativity. I have a huge appreciation for how the body works to acheive and maintain balance, and how its design is equally intricate and simple. My profession allows me to help facilitate that return to balance, and I love being able to make a difference in my clients' lives.
My additional training includes Hot Stone, Prenatal, & Deep Tissue modalities. My future goals include completeing continuing education for Manual Lympatic Drainage, which would allow me to better serve oncology patients; possibly contributing to research regarding massage and children with autism, and spending more time learning about fascial restriction and trigger point therapy.
